We believe that parental involvement is crucial in the success of a child's education. Every month, parents and guardians are invited to attend a "Student Day" program where they can meet with their child and their team to learn about their individualized program. During this time, our lead ABA teacher will guide parents and guardians to practice each program effectively at home. This also presents an opportunity for parents and guardians to ask any questions they may have and familiarize themselves with their child's daily education. Towards the end of the program, our Clinical Director/BCBA will review student graphs with the parents, discuss the data-based decision-making process, and provide progress updates on the student.
Each week, the student’s team, including the Educational Director, Clinical Director/BCBA, Lead ABA Teacher and ABA Technicians, meets to evaluate student progress in all domains. At that time, the data and graphs are reviewed for each student’s individualized programs and target behaviors for reduction. Behavior protocols are reviewed during these meetings and behavior protocol integrity data is recorded throughout the week. Consistency meetings are also run weekly with each student’s team to ensure all team members are implementing programs and intervention strategies as written and initially trained.
At Branches School of the Berkshires, we prioritize the success of our students by offering small class sizes and personalized attention. This approach ensures that every student receives the support and guidance they need to thrive.
