Helen Bloomer, co-founder and Executive Director of Branches School of the Berkshires, is a NYS licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who was trained and affiliated for ten years at the Children's Unit for Treatment and Evaluation at SUNY Binghamton under the direction of Dr. Raymond Romanczyk. She is the founder and former Executive Director of the Crossroads School in New York and New England.
Helen has done extensive work in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, co-authoring and presenting at numerous conferences, nationally and internationally. She has consulted for schools in the United States, Ireland, Brazil and China. In addition, she produced the training video series "Bridges" which has helped families and educators throughout the world. She recently was also the Clinical Director of PAAL, assistant director at the McCarton Upper School in Manhattan, adjunct lecturer at The Sage Colleges, and adjunct lecturer for Brooklyn College. Currently, Ms. Bloomer is the President for Helen Bloomer and Associates Consultation, Inc.
Helen had been a member of the executive board for the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis (NYSABA) for approximately 15 years. She previously has served in many positions including President, Member at Large, etc. Helen was a peer reviewer for the New York State Department of Health clinical practice guidelines for Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
Kassy Vorce, co-founder and Clinical Director of Branches School of the Berkshires, is a Massachusetts licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who initially received her training at Crossroads School under the direction of Helen Bloomer in 2004.
Kassy has spent her professional career teaching individuals with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder across all age groups from 2 years of age through adulthood. She has trained caregivers/parents and staff various strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as the implementation of various behavior intervention plans and data recording. Kassy has worked in positions including: 1:1 teacher, ABA Counselor, ABA Specialist, Specialty Service provider, and Behavior Analyst. Kassy has also worked in a variety of environments including: public and center-based schools, community, summer camps, and individuals’ homes. She has much experience with teaching in both individual instruction (Discrete Trial Training) and naturalistic strategies. Kassy has developed Behavior Intervention Plans, staff/parent training procedures, data systems, and in the development of Individual Educational Plans.
Kassy completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree of Education in Foundations in Behavior Analysis and is a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the state of Massachusetts.
She is also the mother to twin girls, one who has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Elise has extensive experience teaching in both the public and private school settings. She began working in the field as a teaching assistant for a private ABA residential and day program. She then spent many years as the lead Special Education teacher in the public school setting. Majority of those years were at the elementary school level for students in grades K-5 where she utilized her knowledge of applied behavior analysis in her classrooms to help her students succeed. She has experience implementing both standards-based curriculums that align with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks as well as discrete trial programming to truly create Individual Education Plans that meet the needs of all students.
Elise completed her Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Severe Disabilities and Applied Behavior Analysis.
Cailin has been providing ABA services to students since 2015, utilizing various clinical and educational approaches in residential and public school settings. She received her Masters degree in Education from Simmons University with an autism specialization and SEI endorsement. She is a licensed teacher in special education for severe disabilities in all grade levels. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology and plans to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Exam upon completion of the program. Cailin has a passion for improving functional communication skills and helping students work on daily living skills.
Victoria was hired as an ABA Tech in July of 2022 and has since been promoted to a Special Education Teacher position. In 2024 she earned her bachelor's degree from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in Sociology and Social Work and is now attending Springfield College for a Masters of Education in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her professional career, she worked in both residential and day programs with students with special needs where she eventually became fluent in American Sign Language through helping others communicate. Victoria has a passion for her job and truly enjoys what she does by giving students the opportunity to grow and make a difference.
Timothy is a lead classroom teacher who joined the Branches team in the winter of 2023. Timothy started working with individuals with special needs in 2017. Timothy has worked as a Teacher’s Assistant, In-home Behavior Specialist, Behavior Specialist for adults with developmental disabilities, and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from 2018-2022. Timothy has a Bachelors’ Degree from Westfield State University and plans to pursue a Masters’ Degree in ABA. He takes great joy in working with his students to teach them life skills, social skills, and how to regulate their emotions by teaching them coping skills and promote independence.

Koby began his journey in ABA and special education during a cooperative experience at Northeastern University, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in 2013. Since then he has worked in both public and private school settings in greater Boston and NYC as an ABA Technician, and Lead ABA Instructor. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at Northeastern University with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He LOVES to cook and has a dream of someday combining his passion for food with teaching neurodivergent individuals.
Amatollah Elsirafy is an occupational therapist who began working at Branches in late 2024. She has always had a passion for working with children, working in childcare since the age of 14. She was first introduced to OT when working as a teacher’s assistant at a residential ASD facility in 2015. Her love for working with neurodivergent
Amatollah Elsirafy is an occupational therapist who began working at Branches in late 2024. She has always had a passion for working with children, working in childcare since the age of 14. She was first introduced to OT when working as a teacher’s assistant at a residential ASD facility in 2015. Her love for working with neurodivergent individuals motivated her to obtain her undergraduate degree in health sciences with a master’s track to occupational therapy at Russell Sage College. Throughout school she worked with people across the lifespan, from infancy to hospice care, further incorporating what she was learning in her care for others. She continued her education further obtaining a doctorate in OT with a research focus on ABA and OT collaboration when working with children and adults with ASD and intellectual/developmental disabilities. She went on to present her research findings at the New York student occupational therapy association and her research was accepted for publication by ProQuest. She has gained OT experience in skilled and assisted living facilities and hospital nursery and adult care, with a focus on physical and cognitive rehabilitation. She is continuing her education in pelvic floor health and reflex and sensorimotor integration to further promote student engagement and independence in meaningful daily occupations!

In 2019, Gabrielle received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Kate is a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has been working with Branches since they opened in 2020. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is currently licensed in Massachusetts, Illinois, California and Oregon.

For over 20 years, Kate has worked with children of all ages, in Early Intervention, in public and private school settings and via tele-therapy. She has worked with children with diverse challenges, including autism. Kate seeks to enhance every child’s ability to communicate successfully and has been trained in the use of PECs and other assistive technology systems. She believes in the multi-modal teaching of language and will use American Sign Language, pictures and/or music in sessions when appropriate.
Kate received a BS from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree from the California State University, East Bay (Hayward). Kate spent her Clinical Fellowship Year at the Spectrum Center in Oakland, California where she helped open a preschool for children with autism.
I am Carol Carnevale, and I am so excited to be a part of the exceptional staff at Branches School. Prior to my arrival here, I worked as an infusion nurse for 22 years. I am enjoying getting to know and care for all of the students and staff here at Branches.
Aside from being a nurse for 30 years, I have been married to my husband for 29 years. We have one son, two daughters, five grandchildren, and one fur baby. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family.
